Contrapartida (2017) is an immersive multimedia performance and interactive installation conceived and directed by multimedia artist Cinty Ionescu for the CAVE immersive projection space of the International Center for Research and Education in Innovative Creative Technologies – CINETic.
Developed at the intersection of live media, immersive environments, and performative research, the project uses 360° visual content and interactive technologies within a virtual performance setting, being among the first artistic projects of this kind created in Romania for a CAVE environment.
The project reflects Cinty Ionescu’s ongoing interest in the relationship between body, image, perception, and immersive technologies, exploring how digital scenography, sound, and moving image can reshape performative space and audience experience. Combining multimedia installation, live performance, and virtual scenography, Contrapartida investigates the tension between physical and mediated presence inside a digitally constructed environment.
