I am a Bucharest based artist with a constant interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation processes and live experiment. I am committed to exploring new expression forms in the fields of live performance (at the crossroads of visual arts and live music, of stage theatre and digital theatre, installations and augmented reality) and of video art. Many of the projects I initiate include video documentation that delves into the themes I explore.
I have contributed to over 40 theater productions and dance performances and I performed hundreds of live shows which include multiple collaborations with musicians. My work, primarily featuring live components, has been showcased on prominent stages across the country and in international venues. In 2011, I received the Excellence Award for Outstanding Video Design at the FringeNYC for my work on Nils’ Fucked Up Day by Peca Ștefan.
Over the past decade, I have initiated various multimedia projects, including directing theatrical and performative installations, creating an online interactive documentary, and creating immersive exhibitions, some site-specific, or participatory installations.
I am very excited to have partnered with long-time collaborators Peca Ștefan and Laurențiu Bănescu and set up NARATIVE, a cultural organization dedicated to developing and producing art formats since the begining of 2024.
